TEENAGERS

You are a citizen of the country where you live, but you do not have all the civil rights that adults enjoy. You cannot choose where to live, who to live with, or how to spend your days. You are not allowed to make your own decisions about anything. And that sucks. Teenagers endure age discrimination daily, just by looking young in some stores makes you feel more confident because they take it for granted that you are going to steal, your opinions don't matter ¨because you are too young¨, and basically, everything you do, you don't you do well.

People will tell you that these are the best years of your life but they’re not. Sure, in some ways being a teenager and living at home is nice because you don’t have to deal with bills, taxes etc. But that doesn’t mean that your teenage years are the best years of your life, you still have to deal with school and all the stress that comes with it, the insecurities, the meanness of people your own age, the condescension of adults, the alienation and frustrations, the curfews, and the rules. In conclusion, being a teenager sucks. (28 minutes)
