THE PEOPLE YOU LIVE WITH

Since I was young, people always told me I was exactly like my mom. Even some people thought we were sisters. She’s tall and slim, she has a small round face and chubby cheeks, and she has a youthful appearance for someone who is fifty. We have a mole in the same part of our body, and people say that we have the same eyes. But in terms of personality, we are two completely different people. I would say I am like my father, we always try to make jokes about awkward situations and we want to have fun all the time. He's tall and a little bit chubby, his hair is dark and he has brown skin, and everybody says that my sister is like him but the female version, they have the same complexity and also they are lazy, and they always prefer to stay at home.

But if I have to answer the question of who I want to look like, it will be my mom. She's a strong independent woman, who left her country with a little kid. She arrived in London, knowing nothing about the language because my father got a job offer in a bank, in conclusion, she start her life from scratch. Sometimes, she told us about her experiences in London and I feel real because of the way they treat immigrants. But that is also what I most admire from mother, her determination. Even with the language barrier, she didn't let other people humiliate her. So that is why I trying to change because unlike her, I do not say what bothers me, I am very conformist and I always go easy for fear of failure. (23 minutes)
